Chilli and Lime

  • 900g (2lb) Jersey Royal Potatoes
  • knob of unsalted butter
  • 1 red chilli pepper, de-seeded and finely chopped
  • grated rind and juice of 1 large lime

To garnish:

  • a sprig of parsley and wedges of lime

Jersey Royals with Chilli & Lime

La méthode

Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add potatoes, bring back to the boil, then simmer gently for 12-15 minutes. Drain well. Melt butter in a large frying pan and cook chilli pepper for about 30 seconds. Add grated rind and lime juice, then add potatoes.

Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through, then serve with cooked sea bass. Garnish with a sprig of parsley and wedges of lime.


Do not peel Jersey potatoes. Simply rub any flaky skin gently from the surface. Always put Jersey Royals into boiling water - to seal in the flavour. Adding salt to the water is a matter of personal preference.
